Day1: Arrival in Kigali(Rwanda)
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide who will assist you with a smooth introduction to your journey. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Kigali where you can relax and recover from your flight while enjoying the calm atmosphere of Rwanda’s clean and vibrant capital city. Depending on your arrival time, you may also have an opportunity to explore a short Kigali city tour or visit nearby local markets to experience the daily lifestyle and culture of the city. This marks the beginning of your unforgettable 7-day Gorilla & Primate Safari adventure.

Day 2: Kigali city tour to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will explore Kigali city, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and other cultural landmarks that highlight Rwanda’s history and resilience. Later, you will begin your scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, passing through beautiful rolling hills known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Along the way, you will enjoy rural landscapes, local villages, and breathtaking countryside views. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge near the park.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Early in the morning, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trekking adventure. You will then enter the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their behavior, interactions, and natural lifestyle. This rare experience is one of the most powerful wildlife encounters in the world. After trekking, return to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Uganda)
After breakfast, you will cross the border into Uganda with assistance from your guide. The journey takes you through scenic highlands, terraced hills, and rural communities offering stunning views along the way. You will arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Check in at your lodge located near the forest and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Today begins with an early breakfast followed by a briefing at the park headquarters. You will then enter the thick and misty Bwindi forest for another thrilling gorilla trekking experience. The trek may take several hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, but the reward is unforgettable. Once located, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural environment. After the trek, return to your lodge for rest and relaxation.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will head to a nearby forest area such as Kibale (depending on route) for chimpanzee tracking. You will observe playful chimpanzees swinging through trees and interacting in their natural habitat. Later, you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful and deepest lakes in Africa. Upon arrival, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, cool climate, and stunning lake views. Optional canoeing or cultural visits may be arranged.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi Relaxation &return to Kigali/Departure
Enjoy a relaxed morning by the peaceful waters of Lake Bunyonyi. You may take an optional canoe ride or visit local communities to experience traditional Ugandan culture. After lunch, begin your scenic return journey to Kigali, Rwanda, crossing beautiful landscapes and rolling hills along the way. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable 7-day Gorilla & Primate Safari.
